Gary Cotterell from SSN was just reporting that he could hear laughing and banter from the training ground this morning, something that wasn't heard during the last few days of MH's tenure. I know there's always the 'new manager effect' when a new guy comes in, but I'm getting the feeling this time it's different.

HR has done his customary 'look where we are now' piece and how tough it's going to be. He's right, but you get the impression he's quietly confident of turning this around.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling quietly confident too.

Definitely. In public he has been telling off the players and building up the difficulty (with good reason). In private though I am sure he will be very supportive to the players to build team morale and also quietly confident about survival especially if he bring one or two in January. Getting a good team spirit is half the battle.
