  • Good performance from the boys

I thought we played really well today. We played like a team - for once. I hope Redknapp plays the same starting eleven against Sunderland. I'm feeling optimistic. Hopefully the Gooners will see off Villa tonight

It was a much better performance. The defending (until Ferdinand came on) was much improved and we restricted United to only a few opportunities. Thought we looked reasonably dangerous going forward as well. Redknapp must sort out the back four - then we might have a chance of staying up...

nice to hear Garth Crooks say on one attack we had six players around the box, more than negative Hughes had all season, enough to give Harry a chance, come on urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

The biggest problem we have is that we don't know how to deal with crosses/set pieces. I expect Arry to bring 2 defenders in January, as well as striker. I don't see him wanting to bring in any more than 3 players. Looks like he wants to bring some players in on loan, which is good.

I think a few things came out of this: M'Bia looks a very good and versatile player although I worry about his discipline, Dyer when healthy can add something to the squad, Sean Derry IS capable of putting in the odd shift and adds some much needed grit to the team and Clint Hill can fill in at CB, not LB please!

Lots of positives from today. Dyer was good and could prove to be a valuable squad player. Mbia looked good and Mackie did well. I think it demonstrated that there's nothing inherently wrong with much of the playing staff, it's just getting the performances out of them which hopefully Harry can do.

As soon as Granero comes back in form, we will sort that out

but waita minute, we might need more than 3 players because Arry isnt a patient one, he could sell of Anton.F and SWP this winter.

cant see anyone wanting to buy anton or swp not on there wages so they will probably just sit around getting richer , they both need to have a long hard look at what they have done for this club

I watched the whole game on Fox Sports and to be honest we did fairly well up untill last 25 mins when they got a soft goal then its back against the wall and you wonder this could be 5 or 6 but to the players credit they did the supporters proud today. Does anyone else agree we look more of a "team" when we play away for some reason?
