Personally, I think the 2 year deal ect for RDM was always just to keep things ticking over untill Pep Guardiola was ready to take over.

OK he done well to get Spurs into the Champions league, but come on Chelsea, how much it hurts us are a elite club in world football now, so they will go for a elite manager. My thoughts exactly. I reckon pep was always lined up to take over either next season or the season after.

Im sure thats why flair players (if you can call them that) like Hazard & Oscar were signed, so they would have the type of players pep would like to manage already at the club and already bedded into the EPL.

I dont think the russian would have spent so much on players in the summer off the back of RDMs request.

During his time at Spurs, they had 3rd or 4th biggest budget in the PL. So Champions League is about where you would expect them to finish.
