  • Too many different nationalities the problem?

Could this be the problem? I understand clubs like the scum down the road have won things with different nationalities but our starting 11 from saturday were all different nationalities and if you count one of the substitutes Mackie and the Manager Hughes that 13 different nationalities int he dressing room saturday, surely cannot be good for communication. Is it really any surprise our defence is a shambles when a Brazilian goalkeeper is trying to command a defence that involves a Frenchman, an Englishman, Nelson from New Zeland and ok a Portrugese who was the only one who spoke the same language. Not sure how to rectify the problem as we cannot field a competetive all English 11. But perhaps having a defence who can communicate would help.

I suggested that the club should hire a TEFL/TESOL teacher with a knowledge of football to help the players improve their English.

Having said this the problem must lie with the manager who should be able to communicate with the team. Some managers hardly speak understandable English themselves but seem to manage with no problem.

The problem is more about desire, hunger, committment than having to speak English.

What is Portuguese/French/Etc for 'tackle the b*stard' ?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

i think the biggest issue is too many crap players who dont give a flying **** and barely get in a tackle

I actually have a Cambridege TESOL certificate, so maybe I am the man to save the club. I can't speak Welsh though.

The problem is from the management and the strategy from the top. I like TF, but the club is in a mess right now and if MH has not gone by XMAS I can't see him turning it around when good (yes GOOD) players are not responding to him. And if he is going at Xmas - he may as well go now.

Having too many different nationalities doesn't seem to stop most of the top european sides

As stated by Yousef and Shrine, it's more about ability and desire
