just looked at qpr dot org and picked up that an official source has said that phil beard asked hughes to stand down, but hughes refused realising that it would cost him seven million pounds
the sourse is the evening standard,if you guys dont believe me then go on the dot org and read the article,we may well have to wait now for the shair holders meeting

Seven mil well spent if it means the end of Hughes.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Maybe we should start a collection. We could call it Rangers in Need.

Although I believe you and the source... I dont think it will cost 7million to get rid of him.

Like any job, you must be doing it properly. They will meet half way I should imagine and pay him off.

Players who DIDN'T meet half way in recent years - Vine, Agyemang, Hall, Hulse, Borrowdale, etc.
Players who WON'T meet half way in years to come - Zamora, Onouha, Cesar, Barton, Wright-Philips

Why would Hughes meet half way ?

                  This is my point...

If I dont meet targets or client requirements at work..

                  1. I dont get paid
                  2. I get fired (well not so clean cut, but you get the drift)

                  Results business for **** sake...

I would imagine he's on a lot more than £30k / week.... especially when he came in when we were in need, ie he was holding the cards needed to thrash out a good deal, and also the likes of Barton and SWP were reportedly on about 60k / week. I'd expect he's on about that also, so about £3m / yr.

Supposedly the 7th highest paid manager in world football. Easily a couple million a year I reckon, but as Richard said on another thread, I doubt it's a case if paying up every remaining weeks wages in full, I should imagine there's a negotiation to be done regards a compromised pay off. But I don't know obviously, just an assumption.

                            What?????

ManUnited, Chelsea, City, Barca, Real, Spurs, Arsenal Bosses...... (Surely all before QPRs Mark Hughes alone)

                            Is this excluding International Managers??

I think that is probably exactly what happened. Phil Beard went see Hughes and said enough is enough, now do the decent thing and stand down. Hughes probably came back with usual spiel about needing time to gel and giving him more time and said he will be staying put to finish the job. Now we are in a period of negotiation where Hughes will cling on as best he can to secure as big a payout as possible.

If I was in country right now I would be seriously considering visiting the training ground to give this odious toad of a man a piece of my mind!
