  • Dressing-room rift

Not sure if this was posted today, can't see any threads about it. Anyway's read this:

A dressing-room source said: “The players who have been here a while resent the new boys coming in and not shaking a leg for the cause.
“They actually do not resent the new boys coming in and accept the club have to sign new players to become established in the Premier League.
“But they believe that some — by no means all — have taken the p*** with their performances and attitude this season.
“A lot of boys have sweated blood to get this club into the Premier League and keep us here.
“And they are angry that some of the new boys are only here for the money and don’t care about the club or the manager.”

Hughes admitted he ripped into his players in the dressing room afterwards.
But the source claimed: “Some players weren’t even listening to him.

“Most of the boys are gutted at our situation and what the gaffer is going through, but others don’t seem to care.”

Can only imagine it was the likes of Hill, Derry, Mackie etc.. who had a go at some of these mercenaries (Bosingwa a clear candidate)

I have kept this to myself as dont need the grief of being an alleged ITK but I work with a family member of one of the first team squad.

They told me their is no team unity, the majority of players have a frosty relationship with Hughes, hes not approachable and they cant wait to see the back of him. They spoke warmly of TF

When I mentioned to them on friday that there were loads of rumours about him being sacked their face lit up and said X will be over the moon

Given the number of nationalities employed in the premiership, different upbringings and different characters, this must be happen with all clubs. It is the manager's job to deal with this.

If there are problems in the dressing room, shouldn't the club captain be doing something to sort this out? This is why we need someone like Derry, Hill, or Nelsen wearing the armband.

Maybe this explains why he said ''I picked wrong players''.

How many our players speak korean? Whoever is the new manager or even if MH stays in charge should give the armband permanently to Nelsen

I have been told from a very good source that Hill has been told he can leave the club in the next transfer window. I am not sure how the latest events will change that though.

I know a lot of people will disagree, but Joey wouldn't have put up with this sort of nonsense.

there always unrest at clubs when theres players on big money and others on a lot less , my mates brother was at arsenal and told me it would always start as whispers then take off as there was a lot of jealousy , its obvious the likes of mackie , derry , hill are on less than the likes of cisse, zamora and granero . when my mate was at wimbledon the players didnt like fash he said as he got paid so much more than them. its up to a manager to be able to deal with this . hes got to be able to work set plays in training , tactics , no when a player needs an arm round him and when a player needs to be brought down a peg or two .sparky has a box of excuses that he carrys with him after every game , in my opinion for what its worth we lost to the saints because we were 2nd to every loose ball and lacked there fight also when u are 1#2 down u dont bring on a defensive midfielder derry and a fullback fabio

This is something which you will probably all think it ridiculous, but wouldn't it be a good idea for the Club to appoint a TEFL/TESOL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language/Teaching English as a Secondary Language). It would need to somebody with some experience in football who could put emphasize on what the players would need to know in training and on the field. Often when I watch MOTD I wonder "how do these guys talk to each other", as often I have trouble understanding them even if they come from the British Isles.

Disgraceful if true. Onouha and Ferdy before Hill.
