  • Controversial I know - but I'd drop Cesar.

Great shot-stopper - no question. But in the Premier League having a goalkeeper who commands his area is absolutely vital. I don't think Cesar does this. He's a bit too short for my liking.

So - for all his failings - I'd put Rob Green back between the sticks. Dodgy keeper for sure - but out equally dofgy defence would have just a bit more confidence with someone who knows the English game and comes for crosses when he must.

It really struck me on Saturday how Cesar was failing to dominate - even though he pulled off one or two really good saves again. Worth a try?

Also I can't for the life of me see how we're paying him 100 grand a week - because Peter Schmeichel he ain't.

How many do you want us to lose by?

Youll get your head torn off for saying that mate but I can see exactly what you mean. Shot stopping he is absolutley blinding but he is certainly more in the "contintal" mould of keeper - palming out etc. Doesnt command his box particulary well.
Saying that, I would no way drop him for Green - Cesar's shot topping ability is brilliant and has kept our score lines in many games respectable.

So, despite being able to appreciate where you are coming from mate, I dont agree with dropping him for Green.

Also, no way are we paying him 100k a week.

          Same conversation Saturday night.

Cesar has NOT covered himself in glory last few games IMO. He may have made a couple of good saves (that's his job !)
But, in 4 or 5 attempts to score by Saints in their 1st goal, he didn't get close to any of them.
Not getting at least a hand on Puncheon 2nd was very poor.
Probably harsh to blame him for Anton's cracker.
And yes, I know the defence must take alot of the blame also. But a defence is 5 strong, and the back 5 has been the same 3 games running.

We can't stop conceeding - No clean sheets since Chelsea.
Sometimes a change is as good as a rest.
Green would be well up for it.
Cesar can learn to acclimatise and maybe even learn the launguage so he can communicate with the rest of his defence.

And I don't believe he's on £100k a week, no one at QPR is, except maybe Hughes.

His confidence is affected by our ****ty defence and Who can blame him really? Still, more than good enough for QPR.

Another silly Cesar post if he is dropped we will be conceding twice as many as we are now.

He is a quality keeper being let down by some amatuerish and sometimes non existent defending. Same problem Green had.

The organisation at the back is poor and this must surely go down to the level of coaching.
QPR need proper defensive drills. Even if they have to spend 2 hours per day on defending set pieces and crosses.

He has made one mistake since he has joined. Every other goal was near impossible to save.

Just a question: would you be saying that if it was Green in question for the exact same goals?

We've got far bigger problems than Caesar, who has saved us so many times already this season. The man doesn't have a defence in front of him most weeks ffs.

He'll earn us points this season.
