well, nothing from the OP in two hours since he posted this, about sources etc! Probably sitting back and enjoying the response to something plucked from the imagination and brightening up a dull day. Hope I'm wrong though!

Just spoke to a friend at a betting company. He's saying he's gone very short but that is expected after the weekends results and us falling adrift. Nothing concrete in terms of info he's heard but he has confirmed no bookies have suspended betting on Hughes yet. If this was the case it would of been doing the rounds on twitter so for now I think its safe to say he's still the manager. I just wish he'd have the balls to walk!

Meeting between Phil and Hughes
Seen it mentioned on Sky Sports News that Sparkless didn't take training as he had a two hour meeting with Phil Beard. Does anyone have any more details on this? Thanks.
Also, Dowie and Martin Allen seem to be saying give him more time..

Might have tried to get him to part company by mutual consent, who knows?
Plus if the Redknapp thing is serious, and he wants to bring in his own backroom staff then I'd assume our current backroom all getting their marching orders too, and Hughes is going to want to give them the news before anything comes out? so could have been fired already too.
Lots of variables. Bit odd no one has any details to me. Even saying he's been backed for another week.
