Not sure about this Tony was adamant he was happy with Hughes, why make those statements, be easier just to keep quiet, than back him unequivocally

I just imagine he is playing hardball and wants more dosh . They do always say never accept the first amount you get offered eh. Harry wants the job, just the way he spoke about it on Motd tells us that. I think it's a case of when rather than if tbh.
