  • Campbell could be recalled

QPR boss Mark Hughes could recall striker DJ Campbell from his loan at Town to cover injuries at Loftus Road, according to one of this morning's tabloids.

Andy Johnson is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee problem, while Bobby Zamora may need hip surgery.

Hughes reportedly may decide to bring Campbell back from his three-month spell at Town, in which he has so far scored four goals in eight games.

However, with the West Londoners still to win a league game this season, Hughes may not be the man making those decisions at Loftus Road for too much longer.

He isn't in the 25, so can't be picked

We can get him back in an emergency I believe, as we have 2 injured strikers the league may allow it.

Hopefully. Think he would be right up for it with a point to prove - cetainly would look more intersted than Cisse has been.

Well, if this isn't an emergency I don't know what is! Although, I'd maybe wait til QPR Manager 20.0 comes in. He may able to get a striker better suited to the new managers style of play than DJ in the interim, no offence to DJ as I'm sure he will be in the squad again come January anyway.

Thats what I thought n all but apparently might be able to get special dispensation due to only having 1 fit striker?

i know warnock wanted a keeper last year when we only had Cerny available and they wouldn't let him, i thought the emergency was only for goalkeepers ....may be wrong

Clubs can make changes to their squad but only during transfer windows, so once submitted the clubs will be stuck with that squad until January. Only in exceptional circumstances, such as a goalkeeper crisis, can changes be made outside the window, and then only if the Premier League board approves the changes.

We might have to rely on youth strikers if Cisse gets suspended, after yesterday Manchester United players are going to have said, eh can wind this pleb up!

Tell ya what Im properly worried about the potential scoreline at Utd - especially if Hughes is still in charge.

DJ would be a welcome addition to the squad come January. I don't think he ever got a fair go at Rangers. He got 13 for the Blackpool team that got relegated I think.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Not anyone's fault but Hughes for not selecting enough players, what's the point of this 25 rule then?
