  • Has Gorkss been dropped?

Does anyone know if he was dropped against Bristol City for no justifiable reason or because he was carrying a slight injury?

The man scored an own goal in the 93rd minute against Plymouth and is relegated to the bench the next game WTF is going on?

Gorkss is twice the defender that Fitz Hall is and also better than Stewart, I think about 95% would agree about this.

Its fair to say I'm more patient and optimistic than the majority of posters on here and have put my faith in Magilton. However, if Gorkss is not returned to the starting 11 on Saturday and we lose then you will see a change in the positivity of my postings.

Dropping Gorkks for any other reason than he was carrying an injury is ****ing unaccepatble and I will have the knives out for Magilton.

You can play players out of position...I'll forgive you Magilton.
You can make dodgy tactical changes during the game...I'll forgive you Magilton.
You can even play Buzsaky on the Left...I'll forgive you Magilton.

But if you drop our best defender which he is and that includes Connolly in place of Hall and Stewart then that is unforgivable.

Why the **** is Jim Magilton dismantling our defence?

He was dropped because we needed Stewarts pace to deal with Haynes and Maynard who are both lightening.

So he'll be reinstated to the side on Saturday then?

Oh and that is a ****** reason, did Tony Adams ever get dropped because he was slow!

Thats the very reason he was put on the bench. They felt that Stewarts pace would be better served against those two strikers.

          not sure about saturday

Worries me if it means that JM doesn't know his best defence -- means he hasn't done his homework on the players.

I thought the original post about Stewart's pace was done tongue in cheek!
He offers less than Gorkss and Connolly and that includes pace.

Morris I'm not having a dig I'm just saying I don't except that as a valid reason. Great defenders are not great defenders because of their pace. Great defenders are great defenders because off their positional sense and ability to read the game something that neither Hall or Stewart can do that well.

I'm not saying Gorkss is great defender, he is a good defender. Probably one of the best if not the best I have seen in a Rangers shirt since the Pea****, McDonald & yhe Maddix era!

Well if you went to Bristol City, you would have seen the front 2 would have just left Gorkss for dead with their pace, no matter how good a defender he is.

It was the right call on the night, be interesting to see if Stewart done enough to keep his place, my bet is that it will be Stewart Hall on tomorrow.

Gorkss is not as fast as Stewart.... that was why he was benched...

I have started to lose faith in Magilton already.

He must have realised our defence last season of Connolly, Stewart and Gorks was superb and it only needed a quality replacement for Delaney..............this was not addressed in the summer.

What needed to be done was to find a replacement for Dexter who is going to score us the 20 odd goals to take us up. Instead we have replaced him with a cheap, unheard of journey man Italian. We needed someone proven at this level from this country.

Gorks and Connolly should be back in the side at the expense of Fitz ' I make a mistake every game which leads to a goal' Hall. We all see it but why doesn't that bloody Magilton!
