  • Rumours down Souff

Talk around here tonight is that Redknapp will not be replacing Adkins at Saints after Sat's game as he's lined up for a press conference in W12 Monday afternoon

Don't shoot the messenger just reporting on the rumours circulating around Southampton and Bournemouth, TF has been over-ruled by Amit and other members of the board.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

You'd have to admire a club that employed the same manager that took them down before. If it happened again. Man I think I would die laughing. Literally, I'd not stop for a week. I'd probably not be able to breathe.

How would people in Soton etc know what Amit and co are up to? Sounds like BS to me.

So if we win on Saturday then Redknapp is still going to take charge? For some reason I don't believe this. Perhaps this is Southampton's way of unsettling the QPR coaching staff, Hughes and the players

Most Saints fans would have Harry back based on his success at Tottenham and things are very different under Corteze than they were when he was there before under Rupert Lowe. But yes it would be laughable but no more of a circus than our own QPR!

Didn't Corteze sack Pardew though? Didn't think he was still at the club to be honest. Amazed Saints would want Harry back, would they feel the same if Pompey weren't in tatters?

Pardew went because of reported incidents of alleged drinking problems and rumours of allegedly 'messing around with a couple of players wives' , well that's what the local rag said!

Guess this doesn't exactly answer your question, but Kevin Bond lives in Southampton (Chillworth), so that's one way info can get about. One of my best mates' parents are close family friends with Kevin, and he hasn't heard anything yet. Although I have heard a couple of the previous teams (which aren't QPR or Soton) he has been linked with/been to visit.

Worst thing for qpr is to have not lined anoyone up, then lose on saturday and decided to sack Hughes....look at Wolves last season. We either stick with him or we've lined someone up and win/lose/draw, hughes goes.
