  • Reports suggest we could be in for Anelka

Unlike us in for a player that's past his best, wants huge money and no resale value.

Enough of players who have passed it. Lesson learnt: Bosingwa, Cisse, Zamora, SWP, etc. We should bring young hungry players.

        Anelka or Zamora..... no contest.

People who love to slate some of our players need to see the bigger picture. We are trying to put together a squad on relatively low outlay, which will help us become an established prem club.

The likes of Bosingwa, Nelsen and all the frees are good players and cost nothing. The likes of Cisse and SWP were relatively cheap for their type and pedigree of player (whether people want to accept that or not, but nobody on here was upset we signed SWP at the time). Younger players of similar regard cost £10m+... Hoilett for example we blagged on a fee with nominal tribunal, but if not he'd be in similar privce bracket to Johnson and Jarvis, and we wouldn't have got him.

Once we are established they may spend out more on transfers and hope youth will come through, but fo now we needed an immediate answer.

The fact we are in a bad run and confidence is dented, we are all looking below par, but they are all good players when they are playing with confidence and played in the right system.

Why aren't they confident If they are estblished premier league players? I think they've reached their peak and perhaps not as hungry as they were before & are only here for money not to play football. I wonder how Swansea, Norwich and West Ham have managed themselves with much less spending.

              Some loons on here.

Anelka in Jan for 6 months or 1 year deal to get us the goals is a no brainer. Hardly firing on all cylinders upfront are we. His experience alone never mind goals will benefit us massively.

What are the odds of him being another bored journeyman motivated only by wages?
Nah, this never happens at QPR, he will come in and play brilliantly and save our season.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

No thanks, not for us imo, use the money we would give to him in wages and bonus and pay a transfer fee for a younger looking to prove himself striker

                              Oh dear...

Confidence has nothing to do with whether they are established prem players or not. If the team is doing badly, as we are, then players form dips with added pressure to succeed normally, and as a result confidence gets dented..... If the team's playing well and winning, players form improves as does confidence.

And how can you suggest West Ham haven't spent much... they've signed plenty and with large fees, including Javis for about £12m. Swansea also signed a fair few and must have spent well over £10m. It's a myth we've spent loads (including the reported £9m for Granero), becasue we haven't, most were free transfers.
