This at what is always an important time in the season.
onuoha he couldnt even get in to the isle of wight eleven!

And then of course, there is the other way of looking at it :

Mali midfielder Samba Diakite admits he could miss the Africa Cup of Nations if his English club QPR continue to struggle.

Good on Samba for thinking that way but are clubs not obligated to release players for this tournament if their country calls them?

Yes they are as it is one of FIFA's main tournaments. However, if the player doesn't want to go, then it is up to him.

I think there would be a lot more sympathy with the African CON if it wasn't on every other month!

its a useless cup and no pro African player likes to play every year. its just show our African mentality when it comes to scheduling and managing. players should revolt to make it every 4 year instead.

This. Put it on in line with the World Cup or Euros - simple.

                            Maybe Euro's Matty.

World Cup might be a bit of an issue.
