  • we done it all the wrong way

we tried to run before we could walk.
we had a good set of lads that got us promoted but for some reason we ripped the soul out of our side.
weve now got a group of players that have no hunger, and couldnt give a **** about the shirt, just picking up top dollar for absolute no effort whatsoever.
it didnt have to be this way we could have slowly built ourselves up bringing in young players with the hunger and determination to succeed, instead were lumbered with old pony injury prone players on big contracts that know one else would touch in a mlillion years.
it wasnt long ago we were struggling to sign jamie cureton because of his wages but now weve got players like green on 50grand a week sitting on the bench ffs.
no wonder the fans have turned nasty and are fuming at the situation. no one likes us anymore because of how weve gone about it and were becoming as hated as the scum down the road now.

Err we did buy British? Not to mention, some of the best players in the Championship winning side weren't British. Ale, Kasper and Adel.

We Should have bought Hoolahan, Moses, Dawson, Steven Ireland and Steven Fletcher. Would have made a perfect mix in addition to those you mentioned above. Just my opinion. I do especially rate Hoolahan. Not many others do but anyway.

Yeah, we could maybe have bought better. Just some of our worst buys since we came up have been British. Gabbidon and Boothroyd for example. Then you have Anton, SWP and Barton who didn't exactly settle in well for many reasons.

Transfers are always risky, don't honestly think nationality matters that much. Why would someone from Liverpool want to do better for us than someone from say Belgium? I think local talent that love the club is a different story of course, and am a massive advocate of growing our own.
