Even if we win, what difference does it make, under Hughes we will almost certainly be relegated so why wait?.I feel Hughes should have been let go after the Reading game but TF is showing amazing patience and is probably only giving him this game out of sympathy to Hughes. If HR is going to be our new manager he needs to be brought in ASAP,and what better time to improve morale in the camp and give the players some confidence than now, just before an extremely winable game like Southampton.I just can't see the point in prolonging the agony especially as most seem to feel he has already lost the respect of the players, either way he is dead man walking.

Yeah, I been scratching my head over that as well. I suppose it must be either Fernandes' or Redknapp's preference to start next week rather than this week........all a bit odd!

It's about roots and identity.

I have to say that whilst I've not been impressed at all by his results to date, I really hope he turns it all around.
I can see why some want him out now before he does even more damage, I usually feel that way too well in advance of the final whistle. But stamping our feet and screaming is not going to help.
As frustrating as things have been, they really can improve quite quickly given a chance and there is actually plenty of time to avoid repeating the need for a new name on the manager's office door.
I think we should just relax a little, have a bit more faith in TF, (I think he has earns that) and see where we are come the turn of the year. Provided we are not more than say 3 or 4 points off the team in 17th place, there is absolutely no need to be panicking. I know it's easier said than done, but fortunately our chairman makes his decisions rationally, rather than getting more and more uptight after one frustration after another.
