Only a poor manager/coach i.e. Hughes would struggle to get results from a side containing the likes of Cesar, Nelsen, Diakite, Faurlin, Granero, Taarabt, Hoilett, Cisse and Zamora.
Whilst it may be true that the defence is a weak area, the midfield, attackers and strikers should have been set out to attack and score more than the 8 goals from 11 games they have so far managed.
Many of us on here and Hughes have complained about individual defensive errors costing the team points, but in my view, the lack of goals scored is the real problem. An attack minded coach would have them scoring goals and winning a few more games.
There might be a quite few more 3-2 games, some of which would be wins for QPR, but many wouldn't care too much if QPR won 12 and lost 12 out of the next 27 games.
The above mentioned attacking players have been asked to focus too much on trying to defend rather than play to their strengths. Redknapp knows that often the best way to defend is to attack...something that seems to be missing from Hughes' tactics.
The Arsenal game was a good opportunity for QPR to go there and get a win, but apart from the last few mins, QPR rarely threatened to score (Fulham managed 3 there on Saturday and could have had a few more). Yet Hughes went there with a defensive game plan, hence SWP playing because he tracks back.

A good post from you.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

He may not have had too many chances, granted, but when he played he missed chances i'd lambast my mum for missing.... especially against Utd when he managed to get it over from about 1 foot off the line with the goal gaping......

All strikers miss Del. I remember everyone slatig Helguson on here when he first signed, because he was struggling with form and confidence and our super fans saw that as an opportunity to get on his back! Same as they did with DJ, and he's one of our own!! Then heidar went on loan to Watford started scoring for fun in front of fans that actually appreciate why he does on a football pitch and when he returned he was a different beast! Hopefully same happens with DJ
