IF HR was appointed in the next couple of weeks and we signed Dawson and Defoe in January would this solve the stigma with HR and would it keep us up ??

I know we're talking probably £ 30 m between signing these 2 and getting rid of the welsh mafia but with the money next year being worth approx £ 70 m would this be considered an educated gamble ??

For me we are one commanding Centre back alongside Nielsen and a TOP Class CF/ Goal poacher ( To me Defoe is the best in the business )away from getting it right .

Would welcome Dawson & Defoe with open arms but cant see Spuds selling Defoe, he's their top scorer this year & only have him & Adebayor up top.

Agree these 2 would be all we need to have a very strong side IMO though.

Any other time I would agree that we wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of Defoe BUT if we got HR I would say there is a slim chance of it ......He knows he would be a guaranteed starter and I'm sure he would rather play for HR than AVB
