  • Cisse vs Tarbs

Not sure if already mentioned; but on Saturday, Cisse ripped Tarbs a new one for not releasing the ball sooner.

When is someone going to rip Cisse a new one for not caring anymore?

Tarbs may be missing sitters, & not releasing the ball quick enough on occasion, but at least he is getting himself into the posistions & showing that he gives a crap.

Cisse looks finished, his decision making is terrible. Always offside and shoots from so far out its laughable. A very sad state that we are now just a cash cow for the over 30's.

Very good post and I couldn't agree more.

Cisse thinks he's a good player and if someone ie Hughes gave him the reality of it, he wouldn't be so gobby.
Can't stand the bloke and as you say, tarbs work rate and attitude is on a different level.
Cisse would be the 1st player I would release in jan, allbeit we won't even get a pack of peanuts for him because he's utter ****e!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Cisse should hurry up and phuck off. Living off of last season expecting to be exempt from criticism.

What a load of $hit that sentance is.

If you put across an educated and backed up arguement as to why you dont rate him, yes I could appreciate that. He hasnt been on song at all this year, no denying that & Im not here to saynhe has played well at all.

But to say "anybody that thinks he is a good player is clearly deluded" really is way off the mark. The blokes won the Champions League, played for some of Europes biggest clubs and his goals saved us from relegation last year, so I think people have earnt the right to think he might actually be a half decent footballer, believe it or not, even if he has been off his game for the 8 or 9 games he has been involved in so far this year. Am I deluded for thinking he is a good player going through a bad spell with a team thats, generally, going through a bad spell also?

If tarbs passed it to cisse a couple of seconds earlier he was through on goal

That´s true. Both Taraabt and Cisse´s decision making has got to improve. Personally, I expect a lot more from both of them.

Agree with you. I am truly baffled by some of the views on this thread. As appose to slating Cisse I would be asking the question how can a guy in the space of a pre season go from a hero and an individual who played a major role in keeping us up with a scoring ratio of 1 in 2 to being so short of confidence??!!!!??

Yes he is frustrating with the amount of times he is offside but put the ball in the right areas and he will score goals. The wild shots from outside the box are no doubt due to frustration and the fact we don’t create anything for him to feed off in the box because more often then not he is the only one in there against 3 or four defenders

Rangers fans always need a target on the pitch. It was going to be Park but his untimely injury has allowed eyes to be cast elsewhere

They spend sooo many months together on the training ground and played a reasonable amount of matches in the starting XI.
So why does it looks as if they played for the first time together last saturday ?

Just curious what the training sessions are like under the guidance MH and staff.

I watched the game twice and its cisse who made bad decisions, once Adel passed him good one and he slipped just by himself and the ball was front of him not even behind him, that was good pass from Adel, and still he started to moan, if I was Adel I would go straight to him and tell him to faking play and shut the fak up.
cisse has really past it, useless. I would prefer DJ up there.

You analyse football very strangely if you view it like that...

Yes the ball may have been in front of him, but it was about 3 or 4 seconds too late, by which time Cisse had to check his run so not to be offside (something so many love to criticise him for). It was at this point Taarabt decided to pass. Cisse then, on the backfoot, had to react again to a pass and lost his footing.

Some of the comments on this thread are unbelievable to say the least.... yeah let's release him.... we have so many other players who can score goals.

As for the OP, in your first line you bemoan Cisse for (correctly) having a go at Taarabt, for wasting yet another good breakaway by playing for himself and not the team, and then in your second line you say he doesn't care.... well if he didn't give a sh1t he wouldn't kick off would he....!

Also, many are missing the whole point, which was raised quite clearly by Bowen's interview last week where they want the players to expect more from eachother and let eachother know what needs to be said.... this for me was exactly that.

AS for the constant offside bashing.... now he's starting to get minutes on the pitch with the new midfield and know their game it has improved loads... 2nd half against Reading he was barely off and again at the weekend. Certainly no more than any striker... Hoilett on the other hand was off loads on Saturday.... not so many moaning about him.

I think they're good friends off the field, and I think with a bit of practise, they can click together.
