  • Did we really spend 3.5 million

On an unproven Argentine midfielder when we needed a forward?

Now I hope the lad becomes an absolute star and I really cant wait to see him make his home debut.

But I do question the logic, if it was JM or GP that bought in the player why?

The whole fan base knew that we lacked goals last season, we had also flogged Blackstock who needed to be replaced.

Now I know we signed the Pellican (again an unproven forward in this division) but it just strikes me an absurd decision by the board, management and our Sporting Director.

Even more so when you consider Ageyman, Vine, Buzzacky and Rowlands who are supposed to be chippinb

Why on earth did we not go in and make a bid for two or three forwards, Cox Lita, and Lambert could all of been bought in for that outlay.

Makes no sense at all have to admit very weird piece of business from the club.

It is a premiership transfer....... so yeah it is huge and strange... considering we needed a couple of good players, it was unusual to spend all that fee on 1 player.

We didn't spend anywhere near that fee. It was just spin to sell more season tickets mate.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The Faurlin deal was never 3.5 mil it could reach that amount with various clauses but the initial fee was about 500,000 according to Faurlin family member.

Even, I am sure it was not 3.5 million.

Do know, he will be class and wanted by Inter Milan.

Also, no agents fees so we can't point any fingers there.

How do you know that ?

Anyway thats not really the point the point is we have more than enough good midfielders and we didn't need to sign the lad

Class is permanant, this lad will prove he is class.

Great passer of the ball, which we don;t have.

I hope your right but Pajero (sp) is class but he didn't cut it in the Championship

And a decent passer is worthless if he has nothing to pass to up front

True, but this kid is better.

Hopefully, we will see that against Forest.

lets give ally a fair crack but too be honest the money ( which is nothing as the dex, camp, delaney fees covered it) would have been better invested in a striker or two...............lambert n hooper for starters!!!
                            you know nothing john snow!!!!

£3.5m INCLUDING wages. If they are, say £10k a week for a four year deal, that's £2m of the £3.5m.

Spin is all it is (as always with this board) -can't believe some appear to have fallen for it.

This lot wouldn't spend any more than £1m on a player - all you need to know is a net gain in transfer fees for the last two windows...
