You say Sunderland will beat us for certain, and yet their recent record under Martin O Neill is worse than Hughes, having won 1 in their last 19 league games - half a season....!! It just happens that their win was this season. Their last win before that was ironically when we played then at their place and lost 3-1.

This also for me highlights another more important fact, the grass ain't always greener, no matter how big the manager name coming in is.... i'm sure if O Neill was out of work there'd be as many fans creaming themselves over his potential appointment as they are about Redknapp, and he's proved worse than Hughes, and spent big, with £23m on 2 players alone...

As Matty says, every QPR fan should want nothing more than 3 points against Saints, regardless what they think of Hughes. I am one who thinks 1 win could make so, so much difference. We have at times, including Saturday played some superb stuff. One win may be all it takes to increase the confidence and cut out down the pressure associated with "no win Rangers" which in turn could help cut out the sloppy mistakes.... who knows.

One thing for sure is 3 points against Saints is a must. I think if he settles with the team from Saturday until Mbia can replace Ferdinand and we will get better... give Adel a rollocking about when to pass and shoot etc, and we are not far away. I'm sure they will be too much for Saints though.

A win preferably by a couple of goals, but will take anything at the moment.

I'll be honest and say that I have wanted Hughes gone for a couple of months at least and wanted Harry back then... Ok so he might not be a long term solution but, if he kept us up Red Adiar styley then that would be the most important part of the equation....

Hughes was extremely lucky that Bolton failed to win or else we'd be trying to get promoted.... Personally I think that keeping us up has bought Hughes so much credit with TF he might as well be Nick Leeson....

I think the fact that a fellow fan is even driven to posting that he wants us to draw to see the back of Hughes should send alarm bells ringing and whilst some will not agree, I think that most now will want to see the back of Hughes.....

I'm desperate for a win on Sat but I'm also hoping to see the back of Hughes as, even for the sake of his abysmal away record he should go but he just does not inspire me in any way whatsoever.... I think that he's an arrogant and intransigent type of fellow who, given the chance will take us down.... There will always be lots of excuses with Hughes and even when we are confirmed as relegated it won't be his fault.....

            Good post !!!

Whilst I have lost faith in Hughes I don't see the point of changing manager THIS week .... Saturdays game is against a team as low on confidence as we are and as much as I've had enough of Hughes I think it will jepordise the team even more if we ditch the manager this week .

I wouldn't be surprised to see us beat saints and Hughes still to get the sack ....

With regards to Bolton failing to win saving us, to the contrary, i have always felt if the news about us being safe hadn't got to the players when playing City, we'd have held out for the draw at least. We were tight as anything before then, and suddenly we dissapear at the back and they had 2 queueing up at the far post when they scored the winner.

Also, i know what you're saying but we are only 10 games into a season, so miles away from the stage anyone will be confirmed relegated..... When Hughes was at Fulham, after 15 matches they were a place and 1 point off relegation zone, and 3 points off the bottom.... then then finished 8th in the league.

              Long, long way to go.

I'm not saying where we may finish, only that history, not just with Hughes, proves it's a long season and the table at the end of the season will not reflect what it is now.

Blackburn beat Utd at Old Trafford last year. No point approaching these games as if you are already beaten

Whilst if Hughes is in charge I will always want the R's to do well I can guarantee that we will get relegated under his stewardship.... Obviously I can't guarantee but I just don't see him replicating what he managed at Foolham that was very much a one off....

Except when he did it with Blackburn year after year also...

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he will suddenly take us up the table, i'm hopeful obviously, but i do have serious concerns like all fans. I want him to do well, but for whatever reason we aren;'t getting results, even though our play has warranted some... there are times when club and manager dont mix, even when they do well elsewhere.... i just hope that isn't the case here and we do improve and soon forget about this poor start.

And this blind faith in the extraordinary ability of Hughes is based on what? His record at QPR?

Anyone who saw his post-match interviews on Saturday would have seen a man whose nerves are shot. He looked terrible. I think for his own sake he should quit. No job is worth your health.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Well observed the stresses on PL and any high level manager must be immense.... It's not as if he seems very popular so I doubt he has much credit with the media.... Or large sections of it anyway....

Sparky.... Go and see your GP and get him to sign you off for stress related reasons....

He's not at Blackburn, he's not at Fulham, he's not at City. He's at QPR and his record here tells you all you need to know about his abilities and the likeliehood of him getting us out of trouble, the trouble he himself has got us in to.
