If we could take our chances, then we have the players to keep the ball and also hit teams on the break we'd be looking a very good outfit. Every team has defenders that lapse in concentration and give away stupid goals, look at how City, Arsenal, United, Chelsea have been doing it lately.

But they can stick the ball in the back of the net when it counts.

      Very true.

I also think for any team not scoring freely or taking chances when they come, it puts added pressure on the defence and they are constantly feeling more pressure not to concede for fear that it could effectively be game set and match.

Yup, and it becomes a vicious cycle. We leak silly goals, which in turn puts pressure on our strikers to score chances when they come their way. (Although you wouldn't think that with the way Adel tried that chip.. lol). Which eventually spills over onto the terraces, and even if you're not booing the players, they can feel that sense of apprehension coming off the stands.

Which is why even pre-season I was warning against having too many unrealistic expectations for the season. But it's all too late for that now I fear.

last year it was for all to see.. we needed a new centre half or two.

that should've been our main priority. signing nelsen was a good signing but never the two we needed.

hughes ****ed up by leaving it til last week in window to go for a proper premiership centre half in dawson. he then panicked and signed mbia because he's read so much about him.

selling helguson was the biggest shock for me. couldn't understand it. still dont.

losing AJ was massive because hughes decided that only 3 strikers will be enough.. one injury prone, one has his focus too much on his barnet and the other dont like football.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
          Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

have to agree with this are squad was terrible last year we need all these players he bought in. i think we should had tried harder to get a CB or two and not let DJ go.
i dont think HH would have stayed fit this season and can see why they got rid

The decisions Hughes made with regard to squad selection provides clear proof he got it wrong. He believed selecting just three strikers would be enough. He believed our CBs were of the right calibre. He thought we would be ok with just three full backs. He overloaded the midfield because he supports the principle of versatility rather than specialists.

Hughes had plenty of time to put together the right squad but I believe he failed in this task and the results we are getting are an indication of this failure.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
