lets be honest i think he is......small fanbase and unrealistic hopes of ever challenging for any compeatition of note....homes tickets continually fail to sell out and an away following on par now with fulham/wigan.....if i were a rich man id avoid putting money into us like a virgin putting his nob into jordan.....i think that the championship is where a club of our stature belongs on a football level and financially!

I think flavio for all his faults which are many worked out a football club cannot self finance itself and that really unless your owners are wealthier than god or have a good bank manager who will allow you to mortgage up to the hilt then you ain't got much hope.
A club like qpr needs to invest heavily to be successful like Chelsea but our owners are either not tjat rich (tf) or ain't got the appetite (AB) unfortunately the Russian has of in abundance in relation to both. More investment = more debt for us. As I've always said very few clubs in England if any have financially done well and are self suffient. If money is to be made then it is really done by owners selling at a profit indebted clubs.
The idea we will become self generating blah blah is I agree with you nonsense.
Everyone says all u need is sky money but then why are nearly all the premiership teams in debt, ones that have a balanced book tend to be relatively newly promoted well run championship teams.
The great deceit is the EPL is the land if milk and honey, Everton however are the eg that this is rubbish. Big club, big fanbase, universally accepted as well run, stable management and been in the league longest save for gooners and have never overstretched with a new stadium but they are completely skint.
What hope do we have.
Interesting thread, on tube so sorry for errors as on HTC but at times of trouble often times when we should explore who we really are.

yes but so many of our 'new look fans' demand that we compeat with the utds/citehs/chel****e and due to their little knowledge of our club and its history have jumped on an out of control band wagon....i honestly preffered the togetherness of the championship era which warnock n co installed!you know nothing john snow!!!!

I have to agree with you on the other points tho. There is a minimum chance of making profit of a football club - Chelsea is Roman Abramovic's little hobby on his spare time, do someone really think he has made a profit there? Soon TF will realise that himself and walk away, only a matter of time.
