One of the problems in attracting a top manager is the position we're in, it could take some time to get things right and it might be too late by then! I don't think any of these top huys would fancy managing a Championship side!

Steve Kean was a sick joke btw.

Won't be popular but if we are talking about managers that grind out results I wouldn't mind Martin Jol. Won't leave Fulham I'd of thought but I think he could turn us around.

I really wonder how many managers are out there thinking I could do better with all of those quality players as opposed to thinking these guys are under achieving flops!

I would love us to give a chance to someone like Di Canio who think the players would want to play and win for, but we are in no position to be running a trial and error program and if I dismiss Harry and Rafa, then I'd be a fool to demand someone totally unproven at this level
And this post sums up perfectly why we shouldn't always be quick to jump on the new manager bandwagon.... Martin O Neill is anothe Redknapp who's loved by the media and perceived as a mastermind of the dugout. There's no denying he got a great initial response from Sunderland, but the 2nd half of last season and so far this they have been shocking and fans have been slating his tactics, decisions, etc etc etc.

Point being the grass is not always greener, regardless of the "name" who may come in. I fear if TF did get rid of MH he would go with the "perceived" fans choice of Redknapp and i think it would all end in tears and he'd not be a success.

Dave Bassett or Neil Warnock. Both have great records at getting clubs out of the Championship.

Pep Guardiola should be enough to satisfy most fans...

Imo he's a top, top manager. The only person to make England look like potential winners and may have done so in 98 had Becks not had his moment of madness.... He won the Tounoi the year before let's not forget against France, Brazil and Italy.

Think he's tied up in his youth coaching academy but if we ever needed another manager i would be delighted with hoddle.
