  • Adel - "You cannot blame the manager" & Granero insists Hughes is the right man...

Adel: "I had a great chance (against Reading) but I made a bad decision, I should have gone for the far post but I played safe. I should not have changed my mind at the last second to place safe, then the keeper read my move. 1 point is not enough at home for our fans because they are always behind us, we have great fans, a great chairman - I've never seen such a top chairman wherever I've been before, and we have a great manager. At the moment it looks like we're making it difficult for the manager but you cannot blame him - he's doing his job fantastically, every day we work hard, every time he tells us exactly whats going to happen in the game and it does. So you cannot blame the manager when the players make it difficult for him. And that was really what my frustration was today because I think if you ask the players I think today it was our fault. You cant blame the manager because he's doing his job perfectly and very professionaly. Everything changed since he arrived but you cannot blame him because he and his staff are unbelievable."

Esteban Granero is adamant under-fire manager Mark Hughes has the full backing from the players and feels it is only a matter of time before they pick up their first Premier League victory. He insists Hughes is the right man to turn the club's fortunes around and says the whole squad are doing everything to put things right for the manager.

He said: "The manager has great confidence in the squad and players have that same confidence in the manager and his staff. The chairman also has confidence in his manager, his staff and the players. We won't panic. This has been a disappointing start to the season but it will help us later in the season. No-one likes to lose matches, but it is our responsibility to face up to the situation and that is what we are doing. We are facing this situation. We are all in this together. That is why I am not worried and have great confidence. When we get that win I can see us getting more and more in a row."

Without wanting to open up a whole can of worms and the whole Hughes stay / go debate again, but if the players are all openly backing the manager then surely us fans should be to? Hearing what these players have to say seems they are very much behind Sparkie and he has certainly not lost the dressing room at all.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

        100% mate.

Either we get behind him, or just keep going over the same things in thread after thread about how bad this and that is, without ever reaching a decent solution to the problem.

Just goes to show that we must have the most thickest and inept bunch of players if they are forever getting told of situations that will arise in a game & they aren't able to act on it in anyway positively.

Agreed. From what they are saying it seems that Hughes is doing everything right and properly, it's just the players that are letting him down. He has deffo not lost the dressing room as the papers said.

He needs a win though, and fast.

Lets hope it comes soon, for the sake of our Premier League status.

I think I will die a very very very old man before I see an official interview with a player in which he says that the current manager is farking useless and the sooner he is gone the better.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

This was an interview on QPRPlayer after the Reading game. For those without that I've transcribed the gist of it.

Correct Dave, of course they dont. And for anyone who hasn't watched the Adel interview he comes across as extremely passionate and sincere in those views.

to be honest im bored of hearing the same interviews week after week, only for them to go out and put in a bottle job performance. how about they shut up and do it on the pitch for once.

Cheers for that Stanley, that should firmly put to bed the rumours Hughes has lost the dressing room.
