  • Do or Die

So the do or die game has been & gone. We didn't and he's not dead.

Suppose another one next weekend. Chances are we'll have less points at the turn of the year than got Warnock the sack. Interesting to see what happens

Yes we did, we got another point on the board, and did not get beaten. A win would have been good of course, but a point and coming from behind is ok. God knows what the reaction would have been here if we had lost..

Or here's another idea: rather than predicting every game that hughes will be dead if he doesn't get three points, recognise that the owner is serious and intends sticking with the manager as he sees another Flavio-style carnival as the greatest danger of all (maybe even more dangerous than relegation). Then maybe you might think that getting behind the team rather than heaping more pressure onto them might actually help us get a result. You only had to look at how Bosingwa's confidence was shot yesterday and how badly he played as a result. Look, in contrast, to how much better Cisse played with a goal and the adoration of the crowd. Fans are not passive in all of this. They can be the 12th man for us - or the opposition. Five years ago we wouldn't have dreamed we wd be back in the prem league. now we are and some of our fans have never sounded so miserable. Maybe some of them deserve to be at Oakwell on a wet January night - then they might realise that a draw in the prem at the start of november is not the end of civilisation as we know it. but as I say, its just an idea...

Perhaps a first away win since be joined would help? Just an idea.
