So Zamora came over and explained the guy had his facts wrong and that the article the bloke was commenting on he stated he doesnt go home and watch football 24/7. The fan kept shouting at Zamora, Derry and Hill both looked disgusted. The older steward came over, the guy who deals with the disabled fans, to try and calm down the fan. Zamora went up the other end to do some stretching. Then 3 big stewards came out to eject the guy from his seat as he was leaving the paddock Zamora came and and told the stewards to leave it out and let the guy go back to his seat.

While the guy was having a go at him, there was fans singing Zamoras name and telling him to ignore it

    I was actually there
Sounds like the fan was in the wrong then.

The fan was out of order by the sound of things, but lets be fair here, if Zamora had tried to aim any abuse back at his he'd have probably missed anyway....

It went on for a couple of minutes and ended up with a pack of stewards taking the fan out of his seat and down to the concourse despite him looking calm and collected when making his points to the player

Zamora seemed to demanding the fan was removed though he did appear back in his seat for the second half but to me at least its a little worrying that paying punters are no longer allowed to tell players what they think unless they think its worth being thrown out for doing so

I dont know the fan from Adam but as I say he seemed pretty calm and collected when making his points
Got a lot of facts wrong there fella. Zamora was asking the steward NOT to remove the fan. It was heated to start with and then turned into more of a conversation.

zamoras performance v arsenal was the the worst ive seen since marc nygard played for us , he never won a header looked like he wasnt bothered and didnt break swet all game , as long as the fan was respectful when he spoke to bob then fair play to him .

I sit in the next block and saw the whole thing. The fan started shouting at Bobby about an article he had read in the paper in which apparently he had said 'he hates football' (i havent seen this article)

Bobby ignored him for a while but the fan was getting louder and louder being a complete pillock IMO.

Eventually things calmed down and they were having a chat about it, by this time the stewards had come in a decided to take him out the ground.

Bobby then ran back along the line to make sure they put him back in his seat.

You can say what you want about the way he plays on the pitch but in his defence he was very calm and polite talking to the fan even though he was getting abuse and he specifically asked them not to throw him out.

Some of our fans are right ####.
If there is one player who regularly puts in a shift, then that player is Bobby Zamora.

That's very good to read a first hand account and hats off to Zamora for defusing the situation

From what I saw the fella was chatting very calmly to him but obviously I missed the first part and from JU it did look like that Zamora was indicating that he should be removed

One of those occasions when I am glad I was wrong with what I saw

Regarding Zamora's performance on the pitch yesterday I was very disappointed in him when he came on along with many of the other players as it just did not look as though he was very intersted and I have always defended him after every game he has played so far for us as I honestly think he is a very inderated player who always gives 100%
