  • my view on todays events (for what its worth)

ten games in and still we await that first league win. The way i feel now i wouldn't be surprised if our next league win is a championship fixture.

Firstly their goal. No shock that it was an ex player that scored. How many times has that happened over the years? Fair play to kaspers not celebrating again.

Then THAT FREE KICK! any other team takes that the goalie doesn't even move but we do it and the keeper pulls off the best save of his life.

Don't think cesar made a save after they're goal (or before it!)

great finish from cisse. play him for the full 90 every week and more often than not he'll score.

Thought tarbs and diakite we're our best players. Anton was woeful as per usual. Him and onouha are not pro footballers.

Would have put my mortgage on TARRABT scoring that chance late on.

We looked like a team that is resigned to relegation already. Even if we get rid of hughes now its too late. The damage was done in the summer with the failure to buy a decent centre back. Nelson was meant to be cover but as it stands is our best defender by a country mile.

Failure to win today I'm afraid has killed off what little hope i had. Theres always excuses every week but I'm afraid this match showed us beyond doubt what deep down we all knew. We're a team full of overpaid individuals that don't care about our little club and we're going down.

A great point today - well pleased! better than another loss. Always a point gained when coming from behind to draw.

lol what a WUM :-) still he did admit that a QPR defeat is a "passing annoyance" so he's probably "passingly chuffed" with a point. Still comes on here looking to wind someone up for his entertainment tho.

I agree with some of your points but I don't think we're relegated just yet, it is very worrisome however! Sometimes everything just goes wrong for a decent side and so far that has been the case! As you quite rightly pointed out that save on the Pirate's FK may be the best save dude ever makes! Add to that the Adel miss< BZ's good chance and Cisse's blast at the end and there were some real good opportunities to get all 3 points! In saying that, when we were pressing at the end everytime Reading got into our half I thought the late killer blow was coming!

Derby had 2 more points than us now at this stage in the worst ever premier league points total season.

That is a scary stat but are you really convinced we are that poor even though the table is showing it presently?

I think we are where we deserve to be certainly but cant see how our squad could be as poor as Derby's. All down to the manager imo as i think a motivator like Redknapp would get another 25% of the players and make them into a team that has drive.
