  • Are we the hardest to please fans?

Are we? numerous fans on various sites I notice are now wishing for the "old days" of div 3 football. When talking about a new stadium you get whats the point we won't fill it/ we're gonna be relegated.
We've signed world renowned players and good Prem players, that all the so called experts say are too good to be going down, but we (me included) just won't have it. We don't ever seem to be happy.
I know we're bottom of the league so none of us are over the moon, but I just get the feeling if we were top 4 we'd be complaining that we should be top.
I know over the years there have been teams too good to go down.....and where did they end up? But its too early to panic, this QPR are capable of pulling off wins against anyone, we know this its always been the same with us, last season proved it.
Be positive we can do this, positivity breeds positivity, and negativity ........Anyway back to the question are we the hardest fans to please?
There endeth my sermon .......please leave your donations on the collection plate as you leave......thankyou.

Without doubt mate (good post btw!).

We could sign Cristiano Ronaldo and we would have a few saying how we shouldn't sign him as its unsustainable, he's only here for the wages, his nails are too feminine etc etc etc.

Personally Im over the moon with where the club is (as a whole, not bottom of the PL!) and the direction we are headed (again for the doom mongers, not the championship!). We have some very good times ahead, I am sure of it. Not least for me on a personal note, as I have a free whole chicken at Nandos tonight. True story.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

      good post.
my initial thoughts is we got too much too soon.
when you mention some fans harpnig for the old days - could be too much change too quickly...takes time to adapt. i mean, 2 years ago you could rock up to the ground and buy a ticket...now, you've got to have points/membership/etc just to get your hands on one...5/6 years ago we had a bar in SAR...now there's nothing
bigger stadium - well personally don't think we'll sell out in our first couple of seasons...think it'll take a while to get a 40k a week fanbase

i agree that some of us (me sometimes too) might come across as ungrateful to be where we are, but i remember when we used to win games. i want that back! no-one likes to see their team lose week in week out.

I see your point about those who wish to go back to 'real' football in the third tier.

I am going to try and enjoy the Premier League as long as it lasts.

Yes, I too want a bigger stadium and could not care less about whether it is filled for most games or just rarely. A bigger stadium will always give us hope that one day QPR could be a big club.

Yes, many QPR fans are impossible to please.

Hopefully a few wins should stop all this negativity.

Pretty sure we're the same as most clubs. All have lots of negativity. I for one will be staying on the positive side. We'll be fine and have many happy years ahead of us.
I'm here for a long time, not a good time...

                      Don't think so Dave.

Can remember Charlton of all clubs, complaining that Curbishley had taken them as far as he could. Charlton, who were never in trouble of going down. Charlton, for goodness sake. Manager left and a couple of relegations followed.

Arsenal like a bit of a whine too. Must be terrible keep finishing in the top 4, new stadium and no debt. Suppose that's why they are so quiet all the time.

Yeah forgot those Charlton fans Brighton fair point, I bet they wished they had been happy with mid table prem now.
I just thought some of us were getting a little " high maintenance"
