gerrard at liverpool was captain from 23 years old
john terry at chelsea
man united have had roy keane, ryan giggs, gary neville

if the owners want us to be successful in the long term i think we need this kind of figure head in our team. give the armband to one of the younger lads, faurlin, diakate, granero (how would be my pick). reckon it would a better statement of intent than this commercial park ji sung tosh

if the 'long term vision' starts now i just cant understand why weve given the captaincy to a player in his thirties albeit it is for commercial reasons. a 9 million signing from real madrid surely has the same effect
