  • £380k Agents Fees in 6 months!!!

Apparently highest by a CCC club by miles for the period 01 Jan-30 Jun 09.

Nice to know that, although we can't compete in terms of transfer fees or players wages, we don't appear to have a problem splashing the cash when it comes to agents.

And who did we buy during that period? Routledge, HH and Borrowdale. Surely the agents fees for Routledge would hae to account for about £375k of that lot??

The highest amount of any championship club paid out to agents-and we still haven't bought a top striker-what a way to run things..

I think HH was on a free. We were told Borrowdale was about £100k and Routledge was about £500k. How does that end up as £380k to agents??

I'm guessing somewhere in the States, someone has just exploded into a shower of cum and saliva.

Seriously....how the farkin hell have we managed to spend so much on so little?

To be perfectly honest I am not that fussed about the percentage of agents fee to transfer, if we get players of the quality of Routledge. If we had been told the fee was £750k then so be it. What does annoy me is that we do not have the quality up front to make that £750k give us the payback that it should.

I do care that so much money is being paid out to agents. If the club didn't pay those sums the club could use the money to lower admission prices aor use it towards buying another player etc.

add that to gp's loan, renovating areas like the c club and boxes that no one uses.

they do know how to waste money.

                    And compensation to previous managers....

We can't have it all ways. The majority of people on all boards, including me are advocating spending millions on a quality forward but when we gat a class act in Routledge for £400k plus say £350K agents fee, we want to have a dig. If we get a top quality goal scorer and we pay an agent to get him then I for one am happy.

Don't have any problem with money being spent on bringing good players to the club, but I think if it costs almost as much in agents fees to bring in a player as transfer fees, then the world has gone completely mad.

What is an agent doing to justify much more than a traditional 10% cut???

                          Totally agree Kingo.

And if it lines GP`s pocket along the way, then so be it.Because that is the argument here.

Don't players have to pay the agent fees now? Surely the accounts in future will just show increased signing on fees instead of direct agent costs - same thing just dressed up differently of course
