  • Have we bid for Beckford?

According to the Paddington Mercury we have submitted a £2 million bid?

    Sounds about right.

Bolton bid £2.5m and offer Premiership wages.

We bid £2.0m on Championship wages.

A tough choice for Leeds and Beckford....

Oh right because we are going to beat Bolton to his signature aren't we.

Does anyone know if there is any substance in this at all?? If true, at least we are still in the market for a striker.....even if it is a bit late (1 year late!!).

Or the fact we rejected him once might be a bigger reason for an 'up yours QPR'

And the money. If Crouch wanted to play regular football he would have stayed at Portsmouth instead he has signed for a team where he isn't guaranteed first team football.

Crouch moved because he kept hitting his head on the craines down the docks.

If Crouch only wanted the money, he would have stayed at Portsmouth on his ridiculously fat contract.

If he wanted guaranteed first team football and more money, he could have gone to Sunderland.

He wanted to move back to London, so his choices were limited.

Yes, but he is sitting on a bench and doesn't look likely to get many games. Perhaps we could cheekily ask Redknapp to loan him to us:
