as you say godf our lack of obvious nous points towards a real carefree atitude to training or any technical work. not itk but feel that hughes heart was never in the job.

I agree. it could be a made up story or one that is taken out of context. He might not have heard of QPR, but he knows the name Rangers from the Glasgow side. That is all believable but maybe as the transfer was being put together surely he was well aware of the different clubs. But the Mirror may prefer to write the story in a different context.

Howevere, the lack of tactical training could be very true,

Hughes has shown no real knowledge on how to deal tactically with situations in games and QPR's lack of defensive or attacking abilities at set pieces is there for all to see.

Where are the variations in corners, what about the long throw with a headed flick on that still works for some teams, or the different options for free kicks.

Hughes and his team of coaches need to work more on these.

Doing what he did yesterday, and thinking that we were a Scottish club before he signed for us, or was it after he signed too?
Just proves he will be no Clark Carlisle when it comes to intelligence. More Tony Adams if you ask me.

Me and you both. Take anything I read in papers with a huge pinch of salt tbh, especially 2 bob papers like The Mirror that treat a C list celebrity nipple slip photo as a right front page scoop (albeit I must admit I do like them photos).

Why is this rubbish? Did anyone ever see Taye Taiwo interviewed on QPR Player the day we signed him from Milan. He;d been shipped out by his club as surplus to requir, emt, flown over, signed and interviewed. Taye looked like a rabbit in the headlights when asked If he was pleased to be joining QPR and hesitantly replied 'I do know know about the club...but I am happy to be here'.

Personally I was never sure about the M'bia signing. Not because of his playing ability just whether he wanted to play for us at all. Transfer deadline day he looked bewildered and unhappy as he was put on a jet in Marseille to sign for us. He didn't want to leave but the club told him he had to because they have a mountain of debt. He's already come out and said in an earlier interview that he hopes his move to England will help him get noticed by Manchester United so at best a player like this from abroad just sees us a shop window, none of this project talk we hear so much about.

There's a fairly straightforward way to avoid seeing us mocked on a Fulham messageboard.
