  • Just back, my take.

We would have got at least a point today (and deservedly so) if Stephane Mbia hadn't been so bloody stupid. Sparky said all the indiscipline would be stamped out, where?? 2 red cards in the first 10 games, and we've lost our best defender for the next 3 games, which happen to be EFFING crucial!! very very frustrating, as Arteta would never have scored if Mbia had stayed on. the goal was miles, miles offside and I thought both linos had a very poor game.

Cesar - Absolute class. Some of the saves he pulled off were world class, even if he did have a shaky start.
Bosingwa - Good player, I'd like to see more urgency from him though, put in more tackles.
Nelsen - Solid for most of the game.
Mbia - Solid as a rock but absolutely nothing between the ears. Idiot.
Traore - Had a great game, linked up well with taarabt.
Granero - Played well in patches, went missing a few times.
Diakite - To be honest, I only remember seeing him in the second half.
Taarabt - Put himself about well, picked out some lovely passes.
SWP - ABSOLUTE GASH!! PLEASE get rid in January! PLEASE!! Can't pass, can't shoot, can't beat an egg, let alone beat a man.
Hoilett - Caused a few problems, had a goal disallowed but I didn't think he was offside.
    Zamora - Didn't do much.

    Cisse - Rubbish. Doesn't give a toss.
Onuoha - Did ok when he came on.
Mackie - Caused problems, should have scored.

    Agree

What baffled me at the end is we get a free kick and decided to play it short instead of putting it in the box and the ref blows up. Unprofessional!!!!!!!!!

Good analysis Ninja, and yes so frustrating when you look at the upcoming games, which makes me even angrier with him

Our squad seens to be a mish mash of strange players, we do not have solid team. Our forward and defensive departments are a joke and Hughes has to take the blame for this.

Agree Ginger - especially about SWP. I wouldn't care if he retired tomorrow.

Clint is made for this type of situation. I reckon he'll come in and do a job. If people want some passion, he's the man and at CB i'm not worried.

Unfortunately Ferdinand will probably get the nod over Hill.

It would seem so with him on the bench every week
