    2. how can you really justify that comparison? you have picked out pretty much the only black managers ever, baring one or two, which comes to a grand total of 5/6, i could pick out 20 white managers that have done dog ****, so you cant make any real comparison till there has been a number of black managers in jobs for a number of years for that statement on them to have any validity.

But i will say Haughton did a brilliant job at birmingham considering what was happening when he took of the job with quick sales of most of their top players and still getting them to the play offs.
    Fair points mate.

But not one of them was good or bad, because of their colour. It was down to a combination of their knowledge, ability and personality.

That's why they have agents, to find out whats what. Listening to managers speaking about the jobs they have gone for, they all seem to all know who else is in the frame.

That still doesnt explain why in our land and climate of equal opportunities for all, why you would need yet further legislation "to make the playing field more even" when its already even. If it wasnt you would surely have to cite examples of where black ex-players were discouraged or not given just as much opportunity to take coaching badges/courses and then apply for employment positions as white ex-players or any other ethnicity.
