  • In perspective ......

I know we haven't had the best of starts to the season - but a few things to remember:
    1. New owner
    2. New manager
    3. New team players
but most importantly in our first 8 games we have played all but 1 of the top 7 teams. The only omission is Man Utd!

So an opening series of games against Chelsea (1st) Man City (3rd), Everton (4th), Tottenham (5th), West Brom (6th) and West Ham (7th) has been a tough baptism. I believe the team will become more "knitted" and the results will come.

Actually agree with that to a point, but it has been pointed out before here, that those teams are where they are because they have taken 3 of there total points so far off us.

Ok then, let's re phrase that - those teams have taken points off us, not necessarily three! Spurs took 3 points off us - doesnt matter if it was just. 3 points is 3 points.

cant understand why people get all defensive about it...No wins in 8 games...just 3 points out of possible 24....bottom of league...no away wins under MH. Aint no "just" about it..we are that **** poor.

Would agree that we LOOK poor at times, but I think we have the players to look good which we have done too, but also succeed. Might sound like a broken record, but we just need to be much more positive both in team selection and in the way we set about playing.

I often hear people say that Arsenal never win anything playing attractive football. Well, they are never in a relegation fight and always finish above Stoke.

At least the penny seems to have dropped regarding Taraabt and Hoilett. Hopefully, it won't be too late before he addresses the other bits.

agree in time MH and the players might get it right but 8 games in it still isnt working,1 year later and he still hasnt won an away game...how many more games would you give MH? 2? 5? 10? If we are in bottom 3 at Xmas and i think we will be then he should be sacked and replaced. All these pundits keep going on about how good our squad is but they are not a team and we are fast running out of time for them to become one.

True, but we cannot really count West Ham and West Brom as top 7 sides, despite what the league table shows right now. They have had good starts, but I'll be amazed if they are still thee beyond December.

QPR have had a tough start and getting so many new signings to settle immediately is never easy. Also, injuries to defenders has made it nigh on impossible to select a settled back four (however, Hughes took a long time last season to decide who he should select in his defence).

I think there are positive signs that results will soon start to improve, especially now that Taarabt is back in the side, and SWP was dropped and Hoilett came in and did so well.

The game against Arsenal may not bring any points, but hopefully with an unchanged side, or as near to it as possible, for the next 2 games should hopefully see a win against Reading.

I don't doubt that something about Hughes is wrong, his record in away games with QPR and Fulham is shocking, and should this poor run continue he will no doubt be sacked. This action will create more instability, but it will be seen as necessary in order to try and keep QPR in the Premier League. Fernandes sacked Warnock for the same reason and I think will act again unless QPR's results improve.

I don't know who is in charge of coaching the defence, but whoever it is, is not doing a good enough job of it. I am also concerned at the lack of invention at set pieces. QPR rarely seem to create anything fro them let alone score.

Excatly, it is still too early to look at the table & panic.
I'm not saying MH is the right man to take us forward, but I do feel that any knee jerk reaction right now would just cause more instability.
I do agree if things don't change by Christmas, then Sparky must go; but right now we all need to get behind the whole team, including the backroom staff.
