You make a very fair point, QPRDave. Who'd be a manager? It'd be worth a shot- certainly at home against Reading- to play BZ up front by himself with Ale, Samba, Granero in the middle and Adel on the left and Holliet on the right. That's mean we'd have enough bodies in midfield to prevent us being out fought there as happened against West Ham. Famous last words, I know, but even the solid (despite the goal we conceded) performance against Everton didn't see us create much up front...... Ale could prove a very useful defensive midfielder; Holliet and Adel have more than earned their places in the team; Samba and Granero can create further up the field as well as put in a shift defensively. I want Park to come good, but needing wins at home to Reading and Southamption, we need much more creativity going forward PLUS running, closing down and tackling, so he ought be benched for the next couple of games......

Yeah lol who'd be a manager. Now to me that formation and personnel you have mentioned sounds superb, and it strikes me that this is one of those 4-5-1's without the ball changing to 4-3-3 with it. But surely it can't be that easy can it? I'm pretty sure I'm not a brilliant managerial tactician!!

It is an attackicg line up until we lose with it and people slate it saying its only 1 up front.

MH must stay, yes we are bottom but the next 5 home games are winable. If we were playing total sh*t there could be a reason to change but i think things are progressing and our first win will be very soon.

Stick with Hughes, we will be fine.

Was told last week by a 'reliable source' (No..seriously) that Hughes could not lose the next 3 home fixtures, and he needed at least 7 out of 9 points. We've got 1pt so far, so if he's right then we have to win the next two.

I'm still of the opinion that we should stick with Mark Hughes.
We keep playing as well as we have been of late, and the wins will surely come.
Shame the next game is such a toughie, but it's to Mark's credit that I go to the Emirates on Saturday utterly convinced that we will give a good account of ourselves.

If we were playing badly then yeah maybe get rid but we are playing ok, still need to work on the final ball imo, too many crosses not finding our men but I think it will come with confidence and games played together.
Oh and maybe look at the marking on set pieces?!
