  • A different perspective

Seven of the teams we have played to date are in the top ten. We have only played one of the bottom ten as yet.

Hmmmm and maybe they're in the top ten because they nicked three points off us... Just a different perspective

We'll be fine, the voices told me!
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

    2015/2016, average at best.....

    2016/2017, same old, same old....

    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Im always overly optimistic tbh, but I honestly think we will hit a right good patch of form soon - probaby after the Arsenal game. We will fly up the league and be in a very comfortable position come Christmas I reckon.

          That's not very optimistic mate.

            Agree totally.

I'm dissapointed with our results but not worried. If we'd been woeful every game and not shown anything positive I would be, but we've actually played excellently many times and just let ourselves down with stupid lapses to cost goals.

            We will be fine.

I'm normally optimistic too, but I can't help feeling that things are not going to change in a hurry for us. Wins are going to continue to be hard to come by because we're leaking goals from set pieces and crosses and we can't score for toffee.

Can't see us getting beyond the bottom five at any stage this season, we've already lost too much ground. Sorry but that's how I see it right now.

Although I appreciate your angle n worry (can't argue with it given how we've started) , I do disagree with your last line - how have we lost too much ground - were 5 points off of 13th - a few wins and we fly up the league .

That's assuming the teams we want to overtake stay still and don't get any points, and that may well happen. When we went on our good home run late last season, suddenly our relegation rivals started to pick up points too. I'm not trying to dampen down our prospects and I hope you're right!

Although I think we'll be fine and will stay up, I'm not as optimistic as I have been about us.

IMO, I don't see a quick fix to a lot of our problems and until we address the away form, we're going to struggle to put any sort of run together.

November and December are two huge months for us. Perform well through those games and the momentum could take us up the league, perform badly and repeat the silly mistakes that are costing us points now and we'll be in a relegation battle again.
