I thought it was 1 mill with a view if they going sell or loan him out we get 1st chance and sell on of 25% if someone else buys him.

It will if QPR got a decent sell-on clause as part of the deal. Sterling was one of the most talked about schoolboys since Rooney and a number of top clubs were chasing him, so how anyone from Liverpool can have the nerve to talk as if he was part of their development scheme is like saying Arsenal should take the credit for Fabregas. Anyone who knew about him at Barcelona or in Spain knew what a player he would become.

Sterling was up there with the likes of Rooney, Defoe and Joe Cole in terms of a talented 15/16 year old. Sterling was playing against sides 2 years ahead of him whilst Pennant and Cherno Samba where just hype.
