Park is total pants, but SWP is really totally pants..... At Arsenal I'd like to see Holliett on the right; Adel on the left; Granero and Samba in the middle; Faulin the holding player; BZ up front. Park offers nothing going forward and we need to convert possession into results.Last edited by Rangers77; 22-10-2012, 02:35 PM.

Park is getting a bad press because he is not a total footballer in the same way as, say Adel. We've had this sort of issue in the past with players like Derry and before him, Gavin Mahon.
They are workers who cover loads of ground and break up the opposition's shape with their industry. The problem with Park is because he doesn't have lightening pace, a trick for every situation or a blistering finish from out side the box, but is deemed to be a "bit of a name" who should be winning games single handed, people think he is useless.
Look how much ground he covers and just how industrious he is; watch his movement when the other team start to advance towards our third of the pitch and watch some of the simple stuff he does. That's what makes him "a player". The real difference of course is he used to do the same thing in the Man U all stars team and got dubbed "one of them" rather than one of those players that allows the stars to be exactly that.#standuptocancer

Drop Park now? Right after one of his best games? Just as it looks as if he may have settled into a proper midfield? One that was far and away better than Everton's, who were 4th?
I appreciate that there has been much to get frustrated about this season, but really...

It's where fergie played him and he was one of his most trusted generals in the big games . Not used to playing every week and certainly no captain but I might have to eat humble pie if he carries on like that . To say SWP or mackie would have been better options is ridiculous . They would have conceded possession too easily and would have been destroyed . Personally don't ever want to see SWP play for rangers again and mackie is far better played as a supporting frontman where I actually think he could benefit from bobbys lay offs as he's a pretty decent finisher
Couldnt agree more about SWP. I said to a fan yesterday, Hoilett contributed more to the team in 45 mins yesterday than SWP has done all season.
All SWP seems to do is run up and down the flank and give the ball back to the player that passed it to him or cross the ball out of play. QPR can get any fit athlete who can kick a ball to do what he does. I would leave him out of the next 25 man squad and try and sell him for £250k.
Mackie is ok to use as a sub for the last 15 mins or in case of injuries to others

Hughs needs no minerals to drop Park but needs balls to whip some players and stop them from playing selfish. To many players think dribble or the killer assist pass when they get the ball, being lazy not working hard enough for the team plays. If football was to be won by individual plays at these level Argentina in last world cup with Messi, Demaria Tevez and all would have won or at least made to the finals but they sure didn't did they? They got knocked out by the team Germany machine early right? Why? because it is best played, no matter how good your dribble skill is, in team effort. Before dropping park we need some of the players really start passing and moving around to create passing lanes. Park sure can be sharper on the offense I agree, but let's try team passing first, yeah for real.
