  • Hughes away record: 2 points from 39 available points

    Villa away and Norwich away

Will he be able to finally break his duck at Arsenal? Otherwise our next away games are Stoke, Man United and Sunderland. All very tough games.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Yeah looks a tall order strangely Arsenal look the easiest as they play an open game and don't seem to play so close to wind and are less calculating in their play

Clue no 1: Stop changing players and formation. Our squad are best suited for a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation. Clue no 2: Hoilett is a winger and best suited for a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation. Clue no 3: Hoilett is a confidence player and needs games. Clue no 4: Cisse is a better option than Zamora. Ok, Zamora has scored but hasn`t done much more than that. Clue no 5: Park is not the wide man he used to be. Good defensively but does not offer much offensively. Now more of a CMF. Clue no 6: SWP is never the option if Hoilett, Taarabt, Mackie or Park (in that order) are fit.

I think next weekend we should go for 4-5-1 and use counter-attack tactics. I'd bring Ale back for this one because I think we need some more ball-winners in the middle. We also need to strengthen the left hand side and support Taarabt and Traore. The right hand side is ok with Bosingwa and Granero, so the choice would be between Hoilett and Park.

Whoever we choose, we have to ensure that their wide men can't operate and we win the battles in midfield. Diakite has an especially big job to do next week. He has to break up their play through the middle.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

how about Park at right back, move Boswinga into the middle (played superbly for Chelsea last year in the middle) and bring Ali Faurlin back into midfield
we play better against the better teams, as they allow us to play

I wouldn't change the defence at all. We must have consistency.

We'll be lucky to win one away game this season. We simply cannot hold out when we're under pressure for a sustained period.

Hughes is a very cautious manager and it seems to me he just doesn't know how to approach and set up for away games with us at the moment.

I'm not looking forward to the Emirates this weekend to be honest.

He has been like that since he came nearly a year ago, no away wins and im sorry but that is extremely poor no matter what his excuses are and ive seen managers sacked for better records than he has got with us.

NW was sacked witha better record. Just posted in another thread that AFAIK MH has never once taken us higher than 4th from bottom, which was where we were when NW lost his job, and he has been backed in 2 windows.

MH has to take a lot of the responsibility.
