A few thoughts from today

Cesar is a top class keeper.

We look far better with two quick full backs. Was particularly impressed with Bosingwa today.
On the negative side we we won very little in the air at the back when it mattered.
Onouha is jus not good enough.

I thought Park had a much better game on the right. Has come in for a lot of stick of late but seems like a very honest pro.
Dialogs managed not to lunge in too much. Hopefully he is getting back to the player from last season. Garner was sold.

Hoillet was a threat all afternoon and worked his socks off.

Everton are a very solid team but on another day we could have got all three points.

Still need a commanding centre back though.

You can see the schooling Granero has had, a cut above all the midfielders out there today (including Everton), fantastic performance.

How the hell was onuoha poor today? He played 15 mins if that? Did nothing wrong from what I saw. Another example of people not judging a players performance on the current game rather their opinion of them in games gone by.

Yep. Easier for some to scapegoat people than to objectively assess performances based on what happened during the game.

A few responses. Apologies for the delay. Park is not a leader but he put in a decent shift yesterday and I think that he is coming in for an unfair amount of stick.

As for Onouha, if you read my previous posts you will certainly know that i am not the type of poster that looks for someone to blame.

I have even suggested last season that we would see a different Onouha this season once he had a full pre-season under his belt. Unfortunately that does not yet appear to be the case. Although he was only on the pitch 15 mins yesterday, he didn't win one header (despite being one of the biggest and strongest men on the pitch). In addition, he looks a liability when the ball is on the deck. The guy is certainly not comfortable with the ball at his feet and scares me to hell when he in possession and being put under pressure.

He was not the reason we did not win but i am having grave doubts that he will be of any use to us.
