I remember that sitter too and also his sub appearance against either Wolves or Wigan, when he was wasteful in possession and did not look a threat to them at all.

However, there is no way he shoul have been lef out of the squad for Ephraim, who will be lucky to even get a place on the bench let alone a chance to play.

        He looked interested against Everton.

He has looked a different player this season, but that might have a lot to do with his personal life issues (divorce) and the fact that he has often been overlooked to accommodate SWP in a 4-5-1 system.

How many times was a move ended when it was played into him and he misplaced his pass or control. He is more of a hindrance than a help most of the time and good moves and momentum end with him. And link play is supposed to be his strong point!!

First half it was poor, 2nd worse.

Also their goal must've been one of the worst examples of "defending" ive ever seen... He was in front of the player he was supposed to be marking, didn't look at him once then acted surprised Distan lost him completely for a free header.... p1s5 poor!

Also Diakite's booking came from Zamora again mis controlling a ball when we were in complete control of a move, he ended up wrong side of his player and couldn't recover, Diakite then got caught out when his man turned him and suffered a yellow... BUT if he hadn't stopped him we could've been in trouble.

For me Bobby is not delivering the basics and needs to improve. When Cisse came on for 20mins, yes he times his runs badly and is off too often, but at least he looked a threat and nearly got in about 5 times..... Did anyone at any point in that game think there was a danger that Zamora might score... i didn't and there lies the problem.

If we are going to play the ball into the strikers feet, which we did today, that striker doesn't need to be a tall lump, he needs to be technically sound.
            Hello mate,

Zamora should not be bossing our own box. We need a centre half to say f*ck off, mine. Us letting him calling the line says it all.

And at the other end, not as if he put sitters wide.

I don't mind him. Think he puts in an honest shift and more to come.

Exactly my point ref the defending (?) for their goal. Why was he trying to call the line... i'm certian it would not be his job, and as you say a CB, most likely Nelsen will be tasked in training to control the line. The fact BZ was trying to call it was almost an excuse to leave his man a man goal side of him, as if to say he'll be off if people stick with me. As everyone know though, including strikers, defenders drop 9 times out of 10, just before a kick and he was played on. Regardless who's calling, he should've been goal side of Distan and been on him, not letting him wander around behind his back without a clue.

No he didn't miss sitters the other day, but he made basic errors as described. It would appear from this thread, many agree with me and many don't. Not sure how some people can't see his shocking control and inacurate passing. And he does mis sitters. Against West Ham he had a completely free header from a SWP cross 6 yards out and he headed it about 5 yards over the bar..... That's just one example he should do better.

I hope people don't misunderstand my point here though, becasue i have nothing against him whatsoever and know he will always put in a shift for the cause, but i just think the sort of player he is, he could do more damage to teams. I mean look at andy Carroll, he's no great player either, rarely scores, but what he does do is get in the think of it in the box and cause defenders to make errors and other players benefit from it and pick up the pieces, score goals whatever. I don't see that from BZ when i think he's capable of it, but i also don't think he wins enough in the air, and as mentioned previously seems to prefer the ball to chest / feet, which is why his control and lay offs should be better.

A non entity when he plays

                    Others nothing upfront

Needs replacing as not getting goals or any assists from him when he plays

I think he is a good player, just needs someone up front with him who understands the way he plays and holds up the ball. That's why Cisse must start with him. Hoilett is not a striker, he's a left midfielder so he and Zamora don't work well...if anything Taarabt should be up there with Zamora, and Hoilett should be out on the left flank!
