I think BZ is one of our most under rated players. He gets lumps kicked out of him week after week but his strength and hold up play is invaluable to a team who is relying heavily on a midfield or creativity. Next week v arsenal we should go 4-3-3

    Cesar
    Bosingwa Mbia Nelsen Traore

    Granero Diakite Faurlin

    Hoilett. Zamora. Taarabt

Arsenal is a team that actually plays to our strengths And also there big pitch will suit us better IMO

Good team and the right formation, but a big no-no to Zamora. He`s too slow in head and feet. Bring in Cisse instead.

Was up against arguably the best centre half England has at the moment in Jagielka. Who by the way was MOM. Was not his day. As Matty mentioned though he linked well with Tarbs/Granero with balls into feet and one two's on the edge of the area. Next week he is up against two centre backs who are from overseas and hate a physical forward to deal with. As was shown at Loftus Road last year when Zamora had a stormer v Arsenal. Get behind the guy. He is our top scorer.

True and he was also often being held, but the pi** poor officials couldnt see anything wrong.

Zamora has never been a great scorer at Premiership level, but he needs players supporting him in attack and is not really getting enough of this right now. However, now that Hughes seems to have realised that SWP is a waste of space in the team, we might see Zmora getting help from Hoilett, or Cisse along with Taarabt.

I have often looked on here after watching a game and see people talk about what a good game he had when I have just seen the ball bounce off him too much.

We need more from him - Cisse definately looks more of a threat to me, even though he can look lazy, and don't see the point in holding the ball up if it never results in goal. I would rather see our strikers making goal keepers sweat a bit.

I am not getting carried away, I know we have come some distance (although the table doesn't show that) but I think we need more than graft, tracking back and holding the ball up alone. How about 3 points for starters

We have seen what BZ can do - and it is better than this.

Zamora did as well as he could yesterday, baring in mind who he was up against and how well he was marked. His physicality is so important when we have so many lightweight players around him.

Thought he laid the ball off to Tarbs, Hoilett and Granero really well at times too.

He'll be one of our most important players this season and will get no where near the credit he deserves.

Cisse couldn't play the lone role up top.

Zamora had plenty of people supporting him especially in the first half. The midfield played well and attacked en mass in moves with nice interplay, but too often when they played it into BZ and went for the return it was wayward. They were only 10 yards away on many occasions, played it past an everton player to him then went the other side of the player for a return, so not sure how you see it as he had nobody supporting him.... how close do they need to be.

zamora wont be a world beater.. but for us he is good enough.. you watch zamora vs arsenal - he will man handle both of their centrebacks.. whereas vs everton it was always going to be difficult.

even if he has an off game.. what other options do we have? djbril 'offside' cisse? cisse can not play the lone role. would rather we had rob hulse play the lone striker than him.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                      Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Just looking back at the highlights, why on earth was he standing in front of Distin instead of goal-side for their goal? Its such an elementary mistake, even for a striker, especially one that often comes back to help in defence for set-pieces and is usually well-drilled in such situations.

He's been one of our better players this season and still may I remind you our top goal scorer. Although I don't think he had a good game against Everton it's just one game, he has been great in pretty much all of our other games IMO

Agreed. And he never hid against Everton. Always made himself available and always wanted the ball. Think he'll do well against the Arsenal.

He should do better.

Yes he did play people in a few times, but you can't highlight the good points without accepting the bad.

Also, considering he's the "big man" up front he wins very dew headers also.

As for people saying support him or get behind him, I do, but he is capable of a lot more so should be able to do the basics.
Thats my only complaint, he seems to have a bag of cement in each boot :yush:
