think i was one if not the only one to have us win this league (QBP table prediction) a month or so ago, but that was on the assumption that we would make a few quality signings (how wrong i was) thought it was blindly obvious tho.
still time to make them i suppose, but don't hold out much hope, saying that i still believe we have the makings of an excellent squad, as many have already said just 2 or 3 short

In my honest opinion, we are not good enough,,
1. pre season, the writing was on the wall, we should had played harder friendlys to see our weakness... also we did not set the friendlys alight as well...
2. As much as I like Jim and this isn't by any means a dig, I do not think he was right for QPR... We really needed someone with experience like Sven Ericsson, it would also lift the players more...
3. Well we bought Faurlin, who in my view we did not really need... we should had spend that money on 1 or 2 really good players who can win you the game.
4. Overrated? Well not really, but can players like routledge, buzsaky, Tarbarrt, Faurling etc play well together? Most of them were not the managers choice at the time.
Overall,
I would say that people here were over confident in the squad and ambitions... I will put my neck on the line and say that I believe we will go for it next season.

I think most of us would agree that last year did see an improvement on the previous year, although some of the performances left a lot to be desired. Having said that, with the number of clean sheets that we kept I don't think it's to outrageous to say that another 20 or so goals may well have seen us win an extra 4 or 5 games that would have seen us in the playoffs. This was mainly due the fairly poor quality in the league. This year I think the standard of the league is about the same as last and I do believe that with the addition of a decent striker that we may well be good enough to go up. Without such an addition, probabley not. It's plain to see what is needed and I'm sure the management know it too. Getting someone in is a different matter though. We can all sit and reel off this name and that, but maybe they don't want to come to us or maybe thier clubs aren't interested in selling. Just saying that it might not be quite so easy as some of us seem to think it is.
