Been an overhaul in players, but we still have some championship squad members like mackie, derry , hill, even SWP..............the "team" are not a team.
I blame the manager as he built it, buck stops with him.

Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostThink you contradict yourself. The reason we aren't a team is because he has had to bring in so many players. If he also got rid of the players you rightly identify as not being good enough there would be even more turbulence and we wd be ever less of a team - you can't have it both ways. Hughes should have done more to address the defence but who in the squad he inherited was good enough? Faurlin (who was injured), Adel (who is temperamental) and possibly Traore and Ferdinand (though plenty doubt both of them). Other than that, who? That leaves about 21 positions to fill in one transfer window and mold it after seven games into a Prem winning team. You are expecting a hell of a lot.
i agree it does contridict, BUT hughes had long enough from when he took over to know what to go for in the window, he fell short and it shows on the pitch, have no faith in him, never will, too many excuses and stupid statements that are back firing
as for expecting a hell of alot, warnock done it albeit in the championship, but the how long had we been there.
i never expect but do desire to have a team worth talking about

How can anyone defend him playing mackie or SWP over hoillett?
