We all thought we would be in form, but no we are an easy touch not so much other teams are good just that we are so bad.......
I class Reading as a bad performance (Although I think we should have won - Which is a little crazy to say)

West Ham are in fine form, they keep getting points.

    Swansea hit the ground running

Im saying that this thread is a different way of looking at our results.

crap defenders and no leadership. things that should have been sorted out as soon as the whistle went at the etihad. no but he rather try and sign 10 midfeilders instead and then wonder why our team gets taken apart at the back everygame. p.i.s.s poor management no excuses.

we're on different planets if you think any of those 4 in any combination is good enough on a consistent basis at PL level.
Boswinga is decent, Nelsen is gettng on, Hill not good enough, Mbia can't head and has conceded 5 goals in 2 games at the back, Dyer is not a natural defender, Ferdinand is hopeless. Do I need to carry on?
In fact, how many of those 8 players would get in any of the so called big 4 or 5 squads, let alone their team.

          1st choice: Bosingwa.....Mbia...Nelsen....Fabio
          2nd choice: Dyer........Ferdinand......Hill.....Traore

The fact we recently had 6 of the first 8 choices unavailable at the same time is unfortunate... it's not that the defence hasn't been addressed, because it has. Note Hill is only of use at CB as a back up, where he does a good job... as a LB forget it.

i rarely agree with anything you say and this is another example. how can you hope to be taken seriously when you say ferdinand, hill, dyer are premier league players!!!!! and dont get me started on fabio hes never a left back in a million years, he looks and plays like tony angelino from the starlight rooms peckham.

I understand frustration and I understand opinions.

But to say Anton and Hill are not PL defenders is a bit harsh.

Hill is on his way out so thats fair and Dyer isnt a defender really.

As the title states... Just a thought.

That's exactly the way I've been looking at it, long season ahead of us.

I certainly wont lose sleep if you agree with me or not. I said many of our back up are PL std.... .Traore certainly, Hill as a CB has proved hes good enough... last season with him there our defence was solid and he won every award going, and this season against Spurs again - they are no mugs by the way! Also against Spurs Dyer proved he's more than adequate at RB when fit... that leaves Ferdinand... yes he can frustrate at times but has been PL for about 8 years so i think that's good enough for our back up.... do you remember where we've come from in a short space of time.

And you ask how i can be taken seriously for suggesting the above, then say Fabio, who played the CL final 2 yrs ago against Barcelona, is not good enough for the PL... Oh dear. As you refer to Tony Angelino i think he'd say you're talking Wubbish.

Perhaps if you're going to kick off you should at least get your facts right eh...?

Mbia was in midfield against West Brom. Nelsen is getting on yes, but has been class so what does his age have to do with anything? Mbia is class and has barely played yet you're writing him off, Bosingwa you accept is decent, and Fabio is quality whether some on here want to accept it or not.... you dont get selected by Fergie in a CL final if your poor. Either way Traore is quality when fit also.

You also refer to the big 4 or 5 teams squads for some reason... not sure why as they are on a different level to our squad, but just to clarify, last season 3 of them were in the big 5 squads (Bosingwa, Nelsen and Fabio) and Mbia is certainly good enough also.

                      Anything else?

You've always got to have the last word ain't ya. Even when it's clear you talk rubbish.
Defence is crap end of, we're bottom, spanked by teams. Wake up. I'll let you have your comeback like usual as you ain't worth replying back to.

It works both ways, you are doing exactly the same - You both have equal opinions (Which you both are fighting for)

I think the thing is 'Crap' is a strong word, and Del is probably stating it isnt that bad as suggested. Finding positives.

Like this thread. Its a different way of looking at it amongst all the doom and gloom

That's fair Anough I don't mind opinions. It's just he don't seem to take in different sides. He always thinks he's right when it's actually been proven so far he's wrong. Terrible goal difference. Defence ripped nearly every game. Bottom of table. Ain't won a game. There actual facts.

If I was in the wrong with some of the things I've said pre season then I'd be bigger Anough to say yea I got it wrong, but everything I said pre season has been proved correct. It was and still is clear our defence is crap. U might think that's harsh but ive heard people say a lot worst about it. Dels trying to make excuses up to save face .

What planet are you on... Talking about me as if you're some voice of reason and stating BS like i think i'm always right, even when proved wrong and trying to make excuses to save face.... Save face about what exactly??? I don't pick the team...

If you made sense you might be worth debating with, but you contradict yourself. Earlier in this thread you state "crap defenders and no leadership. things that should have been sorted out as soon as the whistle went at the etihad. no but he rather try and sign 10 midfeilders instead and then wonder why our team gets taken apart at the back everygame. p.i.s.s poor management no excuses. So pointing out that the defence was addressed in the window by signing an entire new first choice back 4 of Bosingwa, Mbia, Nelsen and Fabio, is not allowed because it might go against your argument, regardless of the facts eh...

I agree with you our defensive displays in most games, or more to the point, at crucial points in games have been woeful and cost us, but by pointing out certian things i don't see how i'm supposed to be making excuses for them... why would i want to?
