But Will come on.... provoking a hostile crowd?.....watching the vid on the news they had an official on the pitch kicking and attempting to punch 3 of our players and staff. I don't think winning the game should be classed as provoking, and couldn't see too much wrong with what the England players did. Danny Rose kicked something,.. I don't know what it was .......... I assumed it was a piece of junk thrown on the pitch by the Serbs, and this was after the whistle so, I don't know what upset the Serbs so much.

As I have said earlier the FA have not exactly handled racist allegations amongst players very well in our own country, but I just can't see what FIFA/UEFA can blame the u21s for.....other than defending themselves.

It was the goal celebration. I'm not condoning what the Serbs did, but you have to admit it was pretty stupid to celebrate like that in front of a bunch of nutters.

Be honest Dave, you're watching QPR but in the wrong end. If we score, would you celebrate or would you wait? Common sense innit?

The only 'provoking' going on out there was being done by the crowd. Rose finally lost his cool after intense pressure that had been going on since the pre-match warm-up and throughout the entire match - coins and stones being thrown, monkey chants etc. He's only human, 22 years old at that. Anyone would crack under that degree and intensity of abuse. So he kicks a ball away after the final whistle blew, and he's the one to be red-carded - sheer madness, there's no other words to describe it.

Not talking about Rose. Did you not see the goal celebration in front of the Serb fans?

Will, this is about the racist abuse that Rose and the other black players had been subjected to since the pre-game warm-up and throughout the entire game. The goal celebration was in the 92nd minute. Of course that wasn't the wisest thing to do but I mean talk about mitigating circumstances, and anyway, in no way can that negate what had been going on throughout the entire game.

Stan, I'm talking about Dave wondering why UEFA have decided to take action against England. This has nothing to do with Rose whatsoever.

Fair enough mate, but then I'd assume that will be treated as an entirely separate issue, which frankly pales in comparison with the Rose situation IMO.

Possibly, the way I see it is they're going to go by the book as the Serbs look like they will fight any charge that UEFA make. Not worth giving the Serbs any ammunition at all.

When Connor Wickham scored he gestured to the fans, and they started throwing stuff at him. Not saying I blame the lad, probably hugest goal he has ever scored. But he'd get booked in the Premier League to be fair, and if there had been crowd trouble and then a player had celebrated in front of the opposition the FA would quite rightly want to have a word.

Serbia will still come off worse, but it's not exactly an injustice the FA have to answer a charge.

IMO, this abuse of coloured players in Eastern parts of Europe particularly, has to stop. So If Rose did hear someting nasty, he certainly did the right thing when he kicked the ball. I would label his kick a brave statement of intent. Something has to be done about it, quite frankly, incidents like these can threaten a young player´s career in fotball if the UEFA doesn´t sort it out.

he pointed at his name on the back of his shirt! even as the celebrated collectively there was nothing provocative about their celebration apart from the fact that theyd just won the game. what next? players arent allowed to express themselves once they scored, just plain ridiculous. what really needs to happen is that the numbskulls in the crowd need to get real.

Celebrating in front of opposing fans has always been a no no. When the crowd is obviously hostile and you do it, well like I said it's not a great idea.

Well, you're not the only one so I probably didn't explain myself well enough. Got a nasty bug and head full of crap

Anything could have happened, Serbians could have come onto the pitch and stabbed someone. And even if they had got a 20 year ban from football, it wouldn't have been a good resolution if someone had died.

All the blame rests with Serbia, without a doubt though.
