  • DJ hopes for R's return

"It was always in my mind to go back there one day, I was fortunate to get there, but for whatever reason it hasn't worked out so far," he told Green 'Un24.

"I don't know what the situation is with QPR if I'm being honest, whether they want me back in January or to be in the 25-man squad. I haven't got a clue.

"There are rumours that they do but I haven't actually spoken to the gaffer (Mark Hughes) about it and I just want to concentrate on getting fit and playing and doing my best for Ipswich really."

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

i'd love him back. Thats what we miss at our club, someone who can identify with the supporters, someone who truly cares about the club. Great clubs have these kind of players at their clubs - scholes and giggs at United, Gerrard and Carragher at Liverpool, Messi, Fabregas, Pique, Puyol at Barcelona and the list goes on

Good point. Let's be honest quality wise its a million miles apart from the players you mentioned but I see you're point definitely he's one of our own.

Yea, he's certainly not on their level, but he's QPR through and through.
I always watch our players reactions after we've been beaten and Shaun Wright Phillips out of everyone really doesn't give a sh**. The only players that look as if they really care are Taarabt, Faurlin and Hill. I've noticed Julio Cesar shows a bit of passion too which is good to see

Id love to see DJ get a run of games, he works very hard and has great movement, something our current strikers lack.

Never given a crack at all, deserves a shot.

Tbf he never got a crack cos he was always injured. He's not an injury prone player I just think he was v v unlucky & deserves a chance to prove to Mark Hughes that he was wrong to leave him out of the 25 which I'm sure the gaffer would welcome.

His goal in his only game for Ipswich was hilarious, he didnt even celebrate because it was such a blatant handball but the dumb ref gave it.

I can't lie, I really struggle to get that Wigan game out of my head when I think of DJ Campbell which is ashame as i've always rated him since Brentford
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Would love to see a fit DJ back at Loftus Road. So now when AJ is out, why not give him a chance in January?

I think that with AJ out DJ has a great chance of being in the squad in January, especialy if he is gets selected in the early games before the new 25 is announced. If he gets to play, he knows he has to score a few goals.
