One cracking goalie, arguably our best ever, hope he enjoys the prawns and wine.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

            yes

yes i remember phil parkes as a fresh faced kid,he was just a natural goalkeeper, who was amazingly good at getting down quickly and spreading himself in a one on one situation

we at qpr always seemed to have a name for good goalkeepers,I remember ray drinkwater, who came i think from portsmouth,he was a brave couragous man then there was pete springett alan spratley
mike kelly ron springett phil parkes deryk richardson etc etc we of course had england internationals
            chris woods dave seaman

even now we have a full england and a brazilian

but of all the greatest goalies knowbody was better than big phil parkes he was simply brilliant

Used to stand just behind him in the school end in the '70's ..... absolute hero and always used to chat with the supporters.
